Weight Loss Support with Nutrition Supplements
Popular weight loss advice is to eat five or six small meals spread throughout the day, instead of three large meals. If you really think about it, you’ll realize that can add up to a lot of food. Including nutrition supplements along with your meals can ensure you get all of the nutrients your body needs. Whether you are trying to lose weight, maintain your current weight, or even if you just want to ensure your body is healthy, vitamin and nutrition supplements are necessary. It isn’t necessary to spend a lot of money on nutrition supplements, actually many cheaper varieties are better. Instead of hitting the nearest supermarket, visit a nutrition center and get a little help to find the healthiest choice.
Balanced Nutrition
To make sure your daily nutrition is well balanced, you need to figure out exactly how many calories you should be eating to reach your goals, whether you are trying to lose or maintain weight. To find out, take your weight and multiply it by 13 if you’re typically sedentary, 14 if you are moderately active and 15 if you are very active. The resulting number is how many calories you need to maintain your current weight. If your goal is to lose weight, you should subtract five hundred calories from that total and you should try to eat that each day. Adding five hundred calories will give you the correct number of calories to consume if your goal is to gain weight or build muscle. It is also important to consider what kind of foods you eat because not all calories are the same.
No Junk
It would do no good to include nutrition supplements in your diet only to stuff your face with chocolate cake, cookies and pop all day. Focus your meals on more natural foods, such as fruits, vegetables, and lean meats. Around ninety percent of your daily consumption should include these foods. Some of your daily meals can be exchanged for nutrition supplements like vitamins or protein shakes, and other nutrition supplements that will give you the nutrients you need.
A Great Plan
A good plan would be to eat a breakfast with some carbohydrates and protein in order to get you through your day, such as a good, healthy breakfast cereal with skim milk. For a snack, have a protein shake or some other nutrition supplement and a piece of fruit. For a high nutrient lunch, try a source of lean meat like chicken along with some veggies and whole grain bread or rice. For the end of your day, you can have one more nutrition supplement for a snack and lean meat with veggies for dinner. Remember that calories consumed before bed are more likely to be stored as fat, but you can have one more supplement before lying down if you need it.
